Medical Experience

Set Medic

IATSE Local 767 Studio First AidMember of Motion Picture Studio First Aid Employees, Local 767

As a Set Medic, I have provided standby medical services for a number of Production companies on-location and on-set.  I have worked with stunt crews and underwater productions as a safety diver.

Being on set, I am able to start immediate emergency care for production crews, dealing with minor illness to major injury.  As you know, this is especially important in remote location areas.

My responsibility as a Set Medic is to prevent injuries from occurring, surveying the area for safety, and verifying what type of medical services are available in the areas.  By making sure a contact list is available to all crew members, this greatly aids in dealing with medical emergencies quickly and efficiently.
